Los Glaciares National Park

Los Glaciares National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional Los Glaciares) is a protected area managed by the government in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. The park covers an area of 726,927 hectares (7,269.27 square kilometers; 2,806.68 square miles), making it the largest national park in the country. It was created on May 11, 1937, and includes a variety of plant and animal life from the Magellanic subpolar forest and the west Patagonian steppe, which are well preserved.

Los Alerces National Park

Los Alerces National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional Los Alerces) is located in the Andes mountains in Chubut Province, part of the Patagonian region of Argentina. Its western edge is along the border with Chile. Over time, glaciers have shaped the land, forming features like moraines, glacial cirques, and clear, freshwater lakes.

Lorentz National Park

Lorentz National Park is an Indonesian national park located in the provinces of Central Papua, Highland Papua, and South Papua, in the southwest of western New Guinea. It covers an area of 25,056 square kilometers (9,674 square miles) and is the largest national park in Southeast Asia. In 1999, Lorentz was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Lord Howe Island

Lord Howe Island (/h aʊ/; formerly Lord Howe’s Island) is a volcanic island shaped like a crescent in the Tasman Sea between Australia and New Zealand. It is part of the Australian state of New South Wales. The island is located 600 km (370 mi; 320 nmi) directly east of mainland Port Macquarie, 780 km (480 mi; 420 nmi) northeast of Sydney, and about 900 km (560 mi; 490 nmi) southwest of Norfolk Island.

Longmen Grottoes

The Longmen Grottoes (simplified Chinese: 龙门石窟; traditional Chinese: 龍門石窟; pinyin: Lóngmén Shíkū; lit. “Dragon’s Gate Grottoes”) or Longmen Caves are some of the best examples of Chinese Buddhist art. They contain tens of thousands of statues of Shakyamuni Buddha and his followers.

Litomyšl Castle

Litomyšl Castle (Czech: Státní zámek v Litomyšli, which means “State Castle in Litomyšl”) is one of the largest Renaissance castles in the Czech Republic. The Czech government owns the castle. It is located in the center of the town of Litomyšl and was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.

Nazca lines

The Nazca lines are large drawings made in the desert soil of southern Peru. They were created between 500 BC and 500 AD by people who dug or scraped the ground, removing small rocks to expose darker soil underneath. There are two main time periods for the Nazca lines: the Paracas phase, from 400 to 200 BC, and the Nazca phase, from 200 BC to 500 AD.

Levuka

Levuka (Fijian pronunciation: [leβuka]) is a town located on the eastern coast of Ovalau, an island in Lomaiviti Province, which is part of the Eastern Division of Fiji. Before 1877, Levuka was the capital of Fiji. According to the 2007 census, the last one conducted, Levuka town had a population of 1,131 people.

León Cathedral

Santa María de Regla de León Cathedral is a Catholic church and the main church of the diocese of León, located in the city of León, in the region of Castile and León, north-western Spain. It was dedicated to the Virgin Mary and was first declared a monument by the Royal Order of Spain on August 28, 1844 (confirmed by another Royal Order on September 24, 1845). Construction of the cathedral began in the 13th century, making it one of the most important examples of Gothic architecture, influenced by French styles.
