In Palau, children must attend school until they are 16 years old. Schools include public schools, like Palau High School, and private schools. Some classes are offered by Palau Community College. For more advanced studies, such as college or professional training, students often go to other countries, mainly the United States. Palau also provides online learning opportunities through San Diego State University and the University of the South Pacific.
