Potosí

Potosí, known as Villa Imperial de Potosí during the colonial period, is the capital city and a municipality in the Department of Potosí in Bolivia. It is one of the highest cities in the world, located at about 4,067 meters (13,343 feet) above sea level. Diego Huallpa, an indigenous explorer, is traditionally credited with discovering the Cerro Rico in 1545.

Eggenberg Palace, Graz

Eggenberg Palace (German: Schloss Eggenberg) in Graz is the most important Baroque palace complex in the Austrian state of Styria. Its preserved features, large, beautiful gardens, and special collections from the Universalmuseum Joanneum, which are located in the palace and surrounding park, make Schloss Eggenberg one of Austria’s most valuable cultural treasures. The palace is located at an elevation of 381 meters on the western edge of the city.

Cusco

Cusco, also spelled Cuzco, is a city in southeastern Peru, near the Sacred Valley of the Andes mountains and the Huatanay and Urubamba rivers. It is the capital and largest city of the Cusco Province and Cusco Department. Historically, it has been one of the most important cultural, economic, and political centers in Peru.

Bath, New York

Bath is a town in Steuben County, New York, United States. It covers an area of 96.3 square miles (249 km²) and had a population of 11,426 in 2020. The largest community within the town is the Village of Bath, which has an area of 2.9 square miles (7.5 km²) and had a population of 5,641 in 2000.

Churches of Moldavia

The northern part of the Moldavia region in Romania has kept many religious buildings. These buildings show the Moldavian architectural style that started in the 14th century. Among these, eight Romanian Orthodox Churches in Suceava County were built from the late 15th century to the late 16th century.

Churches of Chiloé

The Churches of Chiloé in Chile’s Chiloé Archipelago are a special kind of buildings in the Americas and one of the most well-known styles of Chilotan architecture. Unlike traditional Spanish colonial buildings, the churches are made completely from native wood and use many wooden shingles. These structures were built using materials that help them stay strong in the Chiloé Archipelago’s wet and rainy ocean climate.

Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park is the first national park in Nepal. It was created in 1973 and originally named Royal Chitwan National Park. In 1984, it was recognized as a World Heritage Site.

Chiribiquete National Park

Chiribiquete National Natural Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional Natural (PNN) Serranía de Chiribiquete) is the largest national park in Colombia and the largest tropical rainforest national park in the world. It was created on September 21, 1989, and has grown larger two times, first in August 2013 and then in July 2018. The park covers about 43,000 square kilometers (17,000 square miles) and includes the Serranía de Chiribiquete mountains and the nearby lowlands, which are covered by tropical forests, open grasslands, and rivers.

Chengjiang

Chengjiang is a city in Yuxi, Yunnan Province, China. It is located just north of Fuxian Lake. The name Chengjiang is written differently in simplified and traditional Chinese characters.

Chavín de Huántar

Chavín de Huántar is an archaeological site in Peru. It contains ruins and objects built as early as 1200 BC and was used until about 400–500 BC by the Chavín, a major culture before the Inca. The site is in the Ancash Region, 434 kilometers (270 miles) north of Lima, at an elevation of 3,180 meters (10,430 feet).
