Hoh Xil, also known as Kekexili (Mongolian for “Blue Ridge”) or Aqênganggyai (meaning “Lord of Ten Thousand Mountains”), is a remote area in the northeast part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. On July 7, 2017, Hoh Xil in Qinghai was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list as “the largest and highest plateau in the world.”
