Padua's fourteenth-century fresco cycles are a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Padua, Italy. They were added to the list in 2021.
The site includes eight buildings, both religious and non-religious, grouped into four clusters. These buildings contain fresco cycles painted between 1302 and 1397 by several famous painters: Giotto, Guariento di Arpo, Giusto de' Menabuoi, Altichiero da Zevio, Jacopo d'Avanzi, and Jacopo da Verona. The frescoes use new methods to show allegorical stories and introduce a fresh way of using perspective. The emotions of the people in the paintings are shown in a realistic way. In some frescoes, the person who paid for the artwork is shown as one of the characters in the story. This new style of fresco painting became a key influence for many artists during the Italian Renaissance and later periods.
